Who Raised Jesus?
Many people who raise objections about the trinity say that Jesus could
not be almighty because if the Almighty was dead the universe would be
gone. They forget about the nature of the Trinity. God is one and
three at the same time. Most people agree that the Father is a
different person than the Son. So let's start from there.
Acts 2:21 through Acts 2:24
21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of
the Lord shall be saved. 22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus
of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders
and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves
also know: 23 Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and
foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified
and slain: 24 Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of
death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of
it.
According to the passage above God raised him up. So God is responsible
for the resurrection of Jesus. While I don't have a New World
Translation thier are probably many verses in it that identify Jehovah
as having raised Jesus.
Now look at John 2:18 -22
John 2:18 through John 2:22
18 Then answered the Jews and said unto him, What sign showest thou
unto us, seeing that thou doest these things? 19 Jesus answered and
said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it
up. 20 Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in
building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days? 22 But he spake of
the temple of his body. 22 When therefore he was risen from the dead,
his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they
believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.
Jesus said that they would destroy the temple of his body and HE would
raise it up
The first passage said God
raised up Jesus.
The second passage said that Jesus raised himself up.
Who raised Jesus?
Did the one God rise him up, or did Jesus raise himself up, or thier is
a third option Jesus is the one God.
