Che Guevara- Is he Someone
Worth Looking Up To?
|
|
|
Although Che Guevara was a socialist icon, he has inspired many
capitalist to apply capitalism by making money from his image.
Che stuff is all over the place; T-shirts, jackets, money making movies
and books. Che has even inspired a capitalist to make an internet store
that only sells stuff with his image on it. I sorta appreciate
the irony but I am not sure Che would appreciate his followers giving
money to capitalist Americans.
I almost wish I had never started looking into this Argentinean man and
his impact on the world. He seemed to ADORE
killing people. Several times in the book Che Guevara " A Revolutionary
Life" he murders people that not even Fidel Castro was willing to kill.
This man hated America and all that our country stands for.
As a doctor and an
asthmatic he would have done really well if he had of become as asthma
researcher he could have actually made a positive impact on the
world, but
instead he squandered a good deal of his youth traveling as a
freeloader, very rarely did he seem to be willing to contribute even a
quarter of what he could to society. Rarely did he put
his talents as a healer to use, when he had a choice between helping a
fallen friend with his medical bag or shooting people with a gun he
chose killing.
|
His disrespect for women was also monumental he viewed them as
essentially as objects to sleep with,
he even slept with his
cousin on
multiple occasions.
|
American press people seem
to love Fidel and the memory of Che, but at least 24 journalist that
are in Cuba
prisons have a different opinion of them.

This book I only half-heartedly recommend and only because I did allot
of my research in it.
It is painfully long . The writer tries to be unbiased, but the book
delves into some stomach turning subjects so it is my opinion that only
the most serious adult student should read it.
