Online Dictionary Defines Socialism in three ways
1 : any of various economic and political theories
advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of
the means of production and distribution of goods
2 a : a system of society or group
living in which there is no private property b : a
system or condition of society in which the means of production are
owned and controlled by the state
3 : a stage of society in Marxist
theory
transitional between capitalism and communism and distinguished by
unequal distribution of goods and pay according to work done .
Translation: A system of government where all business owners (everyone
from Bill Gates to the kid who sells lemonade down the street) has to
give up everything they worked hard for to the government, so they run
or destroy what used to be your business at will, and can do with the
money earned whatever they want to do.
Since both communism and socialism fall under definition 1 they
will be treated as the same thing for the purposes of this article.
